OUR STORY

Since 2019, Foggy Lookout Wellness Eco Retreat has been crafting unique and enriching retreat experiences for our guests. What began as a personal journey and weekend workshops has evolved into a life-changing Permaculture Retreat. We discovered HIPCAMP as a camping platform for farmers and we never looked back. Bernies Mother always called 227 Zabels Road Nth, Minden 'Foggy Lookout' because of the beautiful scenery in the hills on a foggy morning. When we moved next door to 225 Zabels Road North, Minden we ran the business with the name Foggy Lookout.

In 2025, when we needed to get some signs made, I suddenly realise the acronym almost spells 'flower' - and seeings we were growing lots of food with permaculture- 'FLWER' seemed a perfect fit.

We continue to offer retreats that cater to all interests, so feel free to share your needs, and we’ll help guide you in the right direction.

In 2026, we relocated to Biarra in the Somerset region of Queensland, streamlining our business and intentionally downsizing our responsibilities. Our former site (225) encompassed 56 acres of native bush and farmland, complete with stunning hilltop views and dams.

Our new farm is now called Finding Light Wellness Eco Retreat, and we will continue to use the same acronym and domain - FLWER - in our communications. The new property spans 10.5 acres and features an exclusive campsite for up to 4 people next to our lovely dam, named Shady Green, available on Hipcamp starting July 2026. Bernie and I are also open to larger gatherings for workshops and private retreats as needed.

We look forward to July 1 2026 as we will be quietly opening again for wellness/personal development/counselling/arts psychotherapy, remedial/relax massage therapy appointments. By request - Community arts, yoga/meditation, drumming and singing groups.
